Qualified Counter Assistant Leigh Sports village.
20 hours per week 2pm - 6pm Monday - Friday
Reports to- Supervisor/Pharmacy Manager
At Manor Pharmacy, we pride ourselves on helping our local community with the service that we offer. As a assistant, you will work as part of a team under the direction of a registered Pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include:
- Issuing stock items and prepared prescriptions
- Collection of prescription charges/checking patient exemption statements
- Operation of efficient stock control appropriate to the needs of the Counter with the objective of ensuring continuity of supply for patients and minimising wastage
- Ensuring that drugs are received and stored in an appropriate manner in accordance with the manufacturers’ instructions
- Ensuring that refrigerated items are stored at the appropriate temperature and maintaining the temperature control record/logbook
- Cleaning work surfaces and shelving on a regular basis and ensuring that all dispensary equipment is kept clean and kept in good working order.
- Maintaining full and accurate records of script figures.
- Taking orders for repeats and dealing with queries from surgeries and patients
- Using the computer to keep records up to date with patient notes and communication this to the pharmacist
- Ordering drugs using Victoria and warehouse.
- Counter assistance is also required as part of the dispensing process.
- Handling prescription money and operating/balancing the till.
- Assisting in stock checks
- Informing pharmacists of when MUR’s are due
You must meet/exceed your personal objectives that have been set for you and play a key role in driving the store to meet its target. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have a current development plan and an action that you will be working on for the next 12 months continuously

Pay: £13,364.00 per year
