Restaurant General Manager – New Restaurant Opening

MPS Hospitality limited is opening a brand-new restaurant, and we're looking for an exceptional Restaurant General Manager to lead.
This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in launching a new site, building an incredible team, and creating the culture that will make it a success. You'll work alongside our Operations team to recruit, train and develop your people, deliver unforgettable guest experiences, and drive strong commercial performance from opening day and beyond.

What you'll be doing
- Lead the successful launch and day-to-day operation of our newest restaurant.
- Recruit, train and develop an outstanding Front of House and Bar team.
- Create an energetic, welcoming culture that reflects authentic Sri Lankan hospitality.
- Inspire, coach and motivate your team to deliver exceptional guest experiences every day.
- Drive sales, profitability and operational excellence while managing labour, stock and P&L performance.
- Oversee stock control, ordering, inventory management and drinks gross profit.
- Ensure the highest standards of food safety, allergen compliance, licensing, health & safety and cleanliness.
- Work closely with the kitchen and Operations teams to deliver consistently high food and drink quality.
- Build strong relationships within your local community and support marketing initiatives and restaurant events.
- Lead by example, remaining hands-on during busy services and supporting every area of the business.
What we're looking for
- Previous experience as a Restaurant General Manager or an experienced Restaurant Manager ready for the next challenge.
- A proven track record of leading high-performing teams in a busy hospitality environment.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing sales, labour, stock, GP and P&L.
- Excellent leadership, coaching and people development skills.
- Passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
- Organised, resilient and confident making decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends and peak trading periods.
- The legal right to work in the UK.

Pay: £32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
