Overview
We are seeking a versatile and skilled Multi Skilled Operative to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of practical skills across various trades, enabling them to undertake diverse tasks within construction and maintenance projects. Duties
- Carry out carpentry tasks, including framing, fitting, and finishing work
- Undertake roofing repairs and installations with attention to safety standards
- Perform general construction painting to prepare surfaces and complete finishing touches
- Conduct plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance as required
- Execute masonry work such as bricklaying, blockwork, and concrete finishing
- Operate welding equipment for fabrication and repair purposes
- Assist with electrical tasks where qualified, including wiring and fitting fixtures
- Use hand tools and power tools efficiently across various projects
- Fabricate components on-site or in workshops as needed for specific projects
- Support the team in maintaining a safe, clean, and organised work environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in carpentry, roofing, construction painting, plumbing, masonry, welding or electrical work is highly desirable
- Practical knowledge of using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Ability to adapt quickly to different tasks and work across multiple trades
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good physical fitness with the ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in any of the trades listed are advantageous but not essential; on-the-job training will be provided where appropriate
- A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety standards
