Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Community Care Workers to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in their homes . This role involves delivering personalized care to enhance the wellbeing and independence of clients, particularly those with specialized needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's, The ideal candidate will possess a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities including personal hygiene, continence care, dressing, and mobility support
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other cognitive impairments
- Support with medication administration following prescribed guidelines
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
- Promote mental and emotional wellbeing
- Manage behavior effectively through compassionate care and behavior management techniques
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and clean environment
- Drive clients to appointments, social activities, or errands as required
- Offer emotional support and companionship to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
- Document care provided accurately in accordance with organizational policies
Requirements
- Previous experience not essential as full training will be given
- Knowledge of patient care, dementia, hospice, and Alzheimer's care is advantageous
- Relevant certifications such as First Aid are preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when necessary
- Valid driving license
- Strong communication skills and empathetic nature
- Ability to handle behavioral challenges with patience and professionalism
- Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as required
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to health and safety standards
