Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in our learning centre and offices. This role offers some flexibility in hours suitable for individuals seeking part-time employment, with a focus on delivering high-quality cleaning services in a professional environment. Previous commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided to the successful applicant.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning duties in commercial settings, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitising surfaces
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, and communal areas according to health and safety standards
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively
- Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls as needed
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly
- Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure all areas are maintained to a high standard
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times during cleaning tasks
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude
- Basic understanding of health and safety practices related to cleaning operations
- Physical ability to perform cleaning duties, including standing for extended periods and lifting light equipment or supplies
