The Role
As a Primary ECT, you will have the opportunity to develop your classroom practice while working within supportive school environments. Roles are available across Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, allowing you to build confidence and gain valuable experience across the Primary curriculum.
Opportunities range from flexible day-to-day supply work to longer-term placements with full teaching responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum
- Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
- Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners
- Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing feedback where appropriate
- Establish positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
- Contribute to the wider life of the school where required
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development
- Uphold safeguarding and child protection policies at all times
What We Are Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or pending QTS completion
- A genuine passion for Primary education
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
