About Us
Clydesdale Afterschool Care provides high-quality, child-centred out of school care for children across North Lanarkshire. We are looking for an experienced, motivated and inspiring Afterschool Club Manager to lead our team and ensure the highest standards of care, play and learning.
The Role
As Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of our afterschool and holiday club service, ensuring full compliance with the Care Inspectorate, Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC), Health and Social Care Standards and all relevant Scottish legislation.
You will lead and support your team to provide a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where children can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the day-to-day management of the service.
Ensure compliance with all Care Inspectorate regulations and Health and Social Care Standards.
Support, supervise and develop the staff team.
Manage staffing, rotas and recruitment.
Promote high-quality, child-led play opportunities.
Ensure children’s wellbeing, safety and inclusion remain at the centre of the service.
Build positive relationships with children, families, schools and partner agencies.
Maintain accurate records, policies, risk assessments and quality assurance documentation.
Lead self-evaluation and continuous improvement.
Manage budgets and resources effectively.
Prepare for Care Inspectorate inspections and ensure ongoing compliance.
Essential Requirements
Hold an SSSC-recognised qualification suitable for registration as a Manager in a Day Care of Children service.
Be eligible for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
Previous management or supervisory experience within childcare, early years or out of school care.
Excellent knowledge of Care Inspectorate requirements, child protection procedures and GIRFEC.
Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
A genuine passion for improving outcomes for children.
Desirable
Leadership or management qualification.
Paediatric First Aid certificate.
Food Hygiene certificate.
Experience preparing for Care Inspectorate inspections.
