Health Care Assistant
Location: Melton Mowbray
Salary: £14.05 - £14.75 per hour
Hours: Full Time, 39 hours per week
Driving Requirement: Full UK Driving Licence Required

About the Role
This is a varied role that combines elements of both a Health Care Assistant and Residential Support Worker position.
You'll provide practical, emotional and personal support to children and young people within a warm, nurturing home environment, helping them develop independence, confidence and life skills while ensuring their individual care needs are met.
No two days are the same. One day you may be supporting a young person with their personal care and daily routine, while the next could involve helping them access the community, enjoy activities, attend appointments or celebrate personal achievements.
What You'll Be Doing

Providing high-quality care and support to children and young people with Learning Disabilities, Autism and complex needs

Supporting with personal care and promoting independence

Administering medication and supporting healthcare needs

Building positive, trusting relationships

Encouraging participation in activities, hobbies and community opportunities

Supporting communication, emotional wellbeing and social development

Assisting with household tasks including cooking and maintaining a homely environment

Following care plans and completing accurate records

Working closely with colleagues to deliver outstanding care and support
