We are seeking a skilled Carpenter/Joiner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in all aspects of carpentry and joinery, with proven experience delivering high-quality workmanship. This hands-on role involves constructing, assembling, and installing a variety of structures and fixtures within commercial and hospitality environments. The Carpenter/Joiner will play a key role within the team, ensuring all projects are completed to the highest standards—on time, every time.
CANIDATE MUST DRIVE THEIR OWN VEHICLE OR BE WILLING TO TAKE A VIDETTE VEHICLE.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Measure and cut timber and other materials, assemble frameworks, fit doors and windows, and install cabinets and shelving.
- Carry out repairs to existing timber structures, including splicing, freeing, and easing components to ensure proper function.
- Erect structural frameworks, including walls, floors, and ceilings.
- Assemble components according to specifications, ensuring precision in measurement, alignment, and finish.
- Safely and effectively operate a wide range of hand and power tools to complete joinery tasks.
- Engage in manual handling, including lifting and moving materials as part of the construction process.
- Support and assist other trades on-site when carpentry tasks are completed.
- Work collaboratively with other tradespeople—such as electricians, plumbers, and roofers—to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Drive to and from various work locations in a safe and responsible manner.
Qualifications & Experience
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry and Joinery (or equivalent qualification).
- Proven experience in commercial, hospitality, or residential carpentry projects.
- Strong knowledge of materials, tools, and modern joinery techniques.
- Full UK driving licence required.
- Valid CSCS card (preferred but not essential).
- Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings and specifications.
- Understanding of site safety procedures and safe working practices.
