JOB TITLE: Security Officer
LOCATION: Dunstable
PAY RATE: £13.45 per hour
WORKING PATTERN: 4 on 4 off

THE ROLE:
We have an exciting opportunity to work in an iconic attraction, fulfilling a crucial function within the security team to ensure the site operates smoothly on a day-to-day basis. We are looking for a friendly and confident individual to support the onsite team, covering various functions across the site and supporting on event weekends. Ensuring all those who visit are given the highest standard of service and assistance, whilst dealing with queries and issues related to site.
We are offering the right candidate an opportunity to develop within this amazing environment and be part of the team. Experience in a similar role is desirable but full training and support will be provided on site. The role may also require from time to time some additional support for the team on the ground and assisting during peak/busy periods.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Site patrols and checks
- Assisting with entry and events
- Visitor assistance and support
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day Deliveries
- Access control for internal staff
- Key control
- Be familiar with site procedures and policies
- Check Contractor permit documents in review then forward to appropriate departments
- Provide Access passes to Contractors when signing in
- Printing of permits for Contractor to sign when works completed
- Maintain completed permit files
- Customer service skills essential in dealing with External contacts: Contractors, delivery Companies, site management, Security team & including Internal contacts: Colleagues and Management team
- Daily Handover to Control & Security team
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Good communication skills
- Confident and professional telephone manner with a can-do attitude at all times
- Good experience of IT packages including excel and word
- Able to work on own initiative
- Have a positive approach and demonstrate high professional standards when carrying out work
- Good knowledge of H&S policies
Desirable but not essential
- Banksman/Traffic Marshall Training
- Previous Gatehouse experience
- Valid First Aid at Work Certificate
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
You must be able to provide a checkable 5-year employment and address history for vetting purposes (this can include full-time education or periods when claiming benefits).
LICENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- You must have a current frontline SIA DS Licence
- Possession of a First Aid at Work Certificate and/or Fire Marshal is desirable.
