As a Carers Information & Support Officer, you'll be a trusted source of support, guidance and encouragement for unpaid Carers.
This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You could be meeting with a Carer in their local community, helping them develop a support plan, facilitating a support group, delivering Carer awareness sessions, or connecting people with services that can make life a little easier.
You'll help Carers to:

Access information, advice and practical support
-
Connect with local services, community resources and peer support
-
Navigate health, social care and statutory services
-
Develop contingency and future care plans
-
Improve their wellbeing and resilience whilst continuing in their caring role
Feel recognised, valued and less alone
-
At n-compass, we're more than a service provider. We're a values-led organisation committed to creating brighter futures for people, families and communities.

-
Person-centred support
-

-
Safeguarding children and adults
-
Partnership working and community engagement
-
Innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement
-
Helping people achieve positive outcomes in their lives
You'll be someone who naturally builds relationships, listens without judgement and enjoys helping people overcome challenges.
We're particularly keen to hear from candidates who have experience of:
-
Providing one-to-one support to adults
-
Supporting people to access services and information
-
Delivering groups, workshops or presentations
-
Working collaboratively with partners and community organisations
-
Producing accurate records and reports
-
Using digital systems and Microsoft Office confidently
-
Managing a varied workload whilst maintaining a person-centred approach
Experience supporting Carers, knowledge of Carers' rights and legislation, or experience within the voluntary sector would be advantageous.
-
Access to a private vehicle
-
Willingness to travel across Staffordshire
-
Flexibility to occasionally work outside standard office hours
-
A commitment to safeguarding and delivering high-quality support
An Enhanced DBS check (required for the successful applicant)
-
The support you provide could help a Carer:
-
Feel less isolated
-
Gain confidence and knowledge
-
Access vital services and support
-
Take a much-needed break
-
Continue caring whilst looking after their own wellbeing
In short, you'll be changing lives—often when people need support most.
