Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented On Site Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure all areas meet high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and committed to creating a positive impression for visitors and staff alike. The role is 3.5 hours a day Mon-Friday totalling the 17.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, hallways, offices, and common spaces according to health and safety standards.
- Use specialized equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers to ensure floors are thoroughly cleaned and polished.
- Handle custodial tasks such as window washing, carpet cleaning, and light maintenance to uphold facility appearance.
- Follow safety procedures during all cleaning activities, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to management for resolution.
- Assist with additional facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including light repairs or painting.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial or industrial cleaning environments with janitorial or custodial responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care, buffing, and use of cleaning equipment.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as basic repairs or residential painting is a plus.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting, and performing repetitive cleaning duties throughout the shift.
