SASCS, a SCIO is a parent management committee run organisation which is a voluntary, not for profit organisation with charitable status. All our services operate from Sciennes Primary School, within the Newington/Grange area of Edinburgh. Sciennes Primary School is one of two of the largest primary schools within City of Edinburgh Council.
SASCS are looking for unqualified/qualified Play Workers, with experience in the childcare sector, enthusiastic and motivated people to work with primary aged children and join our staff team to ensure smooth daily operations of our breakfast, After School Clubs and Holiday Services.
We are currently looking to employ full time Play Workers.
Full Time Hours total 24 hours, worked throughout Monday to Friday each week.
Current staff hours are :
Monday - 2.15pm to 6pm
Tuesday - 2.15pm to 6pm
Wednesday - 1.15pm to 6pm
Thursday - 2.15pm to 6pm
Friday - 10.00am to 6pm

Optional holiday hours are available during school holidays.
These roles initially involve becoming familiar with children, parents/carers, the staff team and SASCS routines, policies and procedures before becoming actively involved in planning of play experiences and contributing to children’s personal plans.
This role also includes an avenue to complete a childcare qualification, along with additional training, in line with SASCS staff training programme, which may offer an opportunity for promotion within the SASCS staff team.
