As we continue to expand, we are looking for a driven, self motivated Business Development Managers whose primary focus is to generate new business opportunities and convert them into long term employer partnerships.

Position Overview
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for proactively generating new leads and securing new employer partnerships that result in apprenticeship and commercial training opportunities.
This is a true new business role. Success will be measured by your ability to identify prospects, create opportunities, build a strong sales pipeline and convert employers into long-term clients.
Whilst account management forms part of the role, the primary objective is the consistent generation of new leads and new business opportunities.
Previous experience within apprenticeships or education is desirable but not essential. We are looking for an experienced sales professional with a proven ability to generate leads and win business.

Key Responsibilities
- Proactively generate high-quality leads through outbound sales activity, networking, referrals, social selling, LinkedIn, email campaigns and telephone prospecting.
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline of prospective employers.
- Identify new opportunities with SMEs, large levy-paying organisations and public sector employers.
- Arrange meetings and presentations with decision-makers to promote NTG Training's apprenticeship and commercial training provision.
- Develop relationships that lead to new apprenticeship starts and commercial training contracts.
- Consistently achieve monthly lead generation and new business targets.
Sales & Employer Engagement
- Convert qualified leads into signed employer partnerships.
- Conduct organisational training needs analyses to identify workforce development opportunities.
- Advise employers on Apprenticeship Levy funding, government funding and workforce development solutions.
- Produce tailored training proposals that meet employer needs.
- Represent NTG Training at networking events, exhibitions and business forums.
Account Management
- Build strong relationships with new employers following contract award.
- Identify opportunities to increase apprenticeship enrrolments and commercial training across existing accounts.
- Deliver an outstanding customer experience to maximise employer retention and repeat business.
CRM & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activity within the CRM system.
- Produce regular pipeline reports, forecasts and performance updates for the Head of Sales.
- Ensure all employer interactions and opportunities are recorded accurately.
- Monitor performance against KPIs and sales targets.
General
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure an excellent employer and learner experience.
- Keep up to date with apprenticeship funding rules and industry developments.
- Undertake any other duties required to support the continued growth of the business.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Minimum two years' experience in business development, B2B sales or account acquisition.
- Proven track record of generating your own leads and winning new business.
- Confident making outbound sales calls and developing new client relationships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Experience using CRM systems to manage sales pipelines.
Desirable
- Experience selling apprenticeships, training or education services.
- Knowledge of Apprenticeship Levy funding and government-funded training.
- Existing network of employer contacts.
