The Salutation Hotel Perth, has a vacancy arising for a duty manager to support the General Manager in the daily running of the hotel.
We are part of part of Strathmore Hotels, a family owned group of eight hotels, each one operated individually. Our team of managers and staff are encouraged to be proactive in the growth and development of the business.
The hotel has 84 bedrooms with a restaurant seating up to 100, a function room capable of accommodating 200, three further meeting rooms and and a bar serving lunch and dinner to non residents.
As a duty manager you will be taking control of the operational side of the hotel on a daily basis, overseeing all departments, dealing with issues as they arise and ensuring we are staffed, prepared and stocked to meet demand.
You will be one of three duty managers, working closely with the general manager, enforcing the high standards of service and quality we aspire to, and planning ahead, being fully aware of up coming business and events both in house and locally.
Communication is vital, as are great customer skills, a good humoured, proactive management style and genuine enthusiasm for the varied and fast paced work load our industry offers.
The successful applicant will have several years experience in hospitality and the proven ability to manage a team and react positively to the unexpected.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Experience in hotel operations, particularly conference and banqueting

Salary is negotiable up to £14.00 per hour dependent on experience
Shifts are a mix of early (7am - 3.30pm) 0r late (3pm - 11pm) working five days from seven.
