Overview
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Tradesman/woman to join our construction and maintenance team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from building and repairing structures to installing essential systems.
Duties
- Use of hand tools and power tools, ensuring precision and safety standards are met
- Perform carpentry and joinery tasks to construct or repair frameworks, fixtures, and finishes
- Install roofing materials, conduct heavy lifting as required, and ensure proper sealing and weatherproofing
- Execute construction painting projects to enhance durability and aesthetics of structures
- Carry out masonry work including bricklaying, blockwork, and concrete finishing with attention to detail
- Use hand tools such as hammers, saws, chisels, drills, and measuring devices efficiently and safely
- Assist with site preparation, material handling, and cleanup to maintain a safe working environment
Qualifications
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, roofing techniques, masonry work.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during construction projects
- Knowledge of construction painting techniques and finishing work
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to construction sites and working at heights
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to completing tasks effectively
- Relevant certifications or training in construction trades are a plus but not mandatory; on-the-job training provided for the right candidate
Pay: £20.00 per hour
