We are seeking a highly organised and customer-focused Administrative Assistant to join our Campus and Commercial Services team.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within the Directorate's core administration hub, supporting a diverse range of operational and commercial services across the University of Chester. Working within a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment, you will provide high-quality administrative support to teams responsible for Commercial Services, Front of House, Security, Domestic Services and Caretaking across our Chester campuses and University Centres throughout the region.
As part of a small and supportive team, you will work closely with the Campus and Commercial Services Coordinator, helping to support financial processes, maintain accurate records, coordinate meetings, support commercial occupants and provide excellent customer service to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
About You
You will be educated to A Level standard (or equivalent) and have experience working in a busy administrative or customer-facing environment. You will possess excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
The successful candidate will be confident using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and will have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will be proactive, self-motivated and capable of working independently while contributing positively to a wider team.
Experience of minute taking, diary management, financial administration and customer service is essential. Experience within a commercial environment and working with financial reporting or business data would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative support across the Campus and Commercial Services Directorate.
Support financial processes, including raising purchase orders and invoices and maintaining accurate records.
Produce and update spreadsheets, reports and commercial occupancy information.
Assist with the onboarding and offboarding of commercial occupants.
Produce occupant ID cards and maintain associated records.
Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes and track actions.
Respond to routine enquiries from customers, suppliers and colleagues.
Maintain calendars and coordinate appointments and meetings.
Support the collection and reporting of operational and commercial performance data.
Deliver a professional and responsive customer service experience at all times.
