Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sports Coach to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging training sessions, fostering teamwork, and promoting a positive sporting environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to inspire participants of all ages and skill levels while developing your coaching expertise within a supportive organisation. The Sports Coach will play a vital part in encouraging physical activity, sportsmanship, and personal growth among our members.
This is an opportunity to be part of a new exciting venture based in Whitburn initially focusing on Netball and Football with a goal to branch out into other sports and locations once established
Duties
- Plan, prepare, and deliver coaching sessions tailored to different age groups and skill levels
- Motivate and encourage participants to achieve their personal best in a safe and inclusive environment
- Demonstrate proper techniques and skills for various sports disciplines
- Ensure all equipment is maintained, safe, and ready for use before each session
- Uphold health and safety standards in accordance with organisational policies
- Foster a positive sporting atmosphere that emphasises teamwork, respect, and fair play
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and any incidents or concerns
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sports coaching or teaching within a similar setting
- Strong knowledge of Football and Netball and willing to learn or undergo sports coaching qualifications
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate diverse groups of participants
- Organisational skills to plan sessions effectively and manage multiple activities simultaneously
- A recognised coaching qualification or relevant sports-specific certifications are desirable but not essential
- Ability to work flexibly including evenings or weekends if required
- Commitment to promoting inclusive participation regardless of age or ability
Please note this role will require you to obtain a PVG with our business and undergo Child Wellbeing Protection in Sport Training

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
