Accuracy Checking Technician Job advert
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled ‘Accuracy Checking Technician’ to join our friendly pharmacy team. The right applicant should be self-motivated, ambitious and proactive. You will be responsible for accuracy checking prescriptions, providing exceptional customer service, diligently dispensing medication and managing pharmaceutical stock.
Responsibilities
- Final check/release of dispensed medication, a high level of accuracy and attention to detail is expected for all dispensing and high volumes of blister packs/dossete boxes.
- Deliver outstanding patient care by addressing patient needs and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
- Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Administer medications as prescribed, monitoring patients for any adverse reactions or side effects.
- Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient interactions, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient treatment plans and outcomes.
- Participate in inventory management, including the ordering and restocking of pharmaceutical supplies.
- Uphold cleanliness and organisation within the pharmacy environment to promote safety and efficiency.
- Act as a mentor to less experienced dispensers
Qualifications and experience
- Previous experience as an Accuracy Pharmacy Dispenser or Technician (minimum 1 year experience)
- Accuracy Checking qualification
- GPhC registered Accuracy Checking Technician
- Excellent Computer Literacy
- Ability to deliver efficient dispensary operations
- Strong understanding of patient care principles and medication administration protocols.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills are essential for managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- A compassionate approach to patient care, demonstrating patience and understanding in all interactions.
