About the Role:
MAX Arquitectura Design and Construction is looking for a Construction Project Manager to join our Edinburgh team. You will coordinate building projects from planning through delivery, helping ensure design, procurement, site activities and project documentation remain aligned with agreed schedules and quality requirements.
This role is suited to an experienced construction professional who can manage several priorities, communicate clearly with different teams and resolve project issues before they affect delivery. You will work with architects, engineers, contractors, suppliers and clients to keep projects organised and progressing efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning:
Prepare and maintain project schedules, delivery milestones and action plans for assigned construction projects.
Site Coordination:
Coordinate site activities with contractors, consultants and suppliers to help keep work progressing according to plan.
Design Coordination:
Work with architects, engineers and technical teams to resolve design queries and confirm construction information is available when needed.
Programme Management:
Monitor progress against agreed timelines and identify potential delays before they affect key milestones.
Budget Support:
Track project costs, review expenditure information and support commercial teams with cost control activities.
Contractor Coordination:
Maintain regular communication with contractors and subcontractors and follow up on outstanding actions.
Procurement Support:
Coordinate procurement requirements for materials, equipment and specialist services in line with project schedules.
Quality Control:
Monitor construction quality and make sure identified defects or incomplete work are recorded and addressed.
Risk Management:
Identify project risks, record mitigation actions and escalate significant issues where necessary.
Client Communication:
Provide clear project updates and respond to routine questions about progress, timelines and delivery requirements.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate project records including meeting notes, progress reports, schedules, approvals and change information.
Project Handover:
Coordinate completion activities and help ensure required documents, inspections and outstanding works are closed before final handover.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience:
Several years of experience in construction project management, site coordination, design management or a related building industry role.
Construction Knowledge:
Good understanding of construction processes, project sequencing, procurement and site operations.
Project Management:
Experience managing schedules, project risks, contractors and multiple delivery priorities.
Technical Awareness:
Ability to understand architectural drawings, construction information and basic engineering documentation.
Commercial Awareness:
Good understanding of budgets, variations, procurement and cost related project considerations.
Organisation:
Ability to manage several workstreams, maintain accurate records and meet project deadlines.
Problem Solving:
Ability to identify delivery issues, assess practical options and coordinate appropriate solutions.
Communication:
Strong spoken and written English with the confidence to work with clients, consultants, contractors and internal teams.
Attention to Detail:
Ability to review project information, schedules, documentation and site progress carefully.
Mindset:
You are organised, accountable and delivery focused. You communicate risks early, keep stakeholders informed and focus on practical solutions that help projects progress safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
Pay: £4,300.00-£5,000.00 per month
