Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for gardening, be friendly, enthusiastic, proactive and keeping a principle house gardens in first class condition. The Maintenance Person will work closely the head gardeners to keep the estate in excellent condition.
Duties
- Grass cutting lawns using both cylinder and rotary mowers.
- Strimming.
- Hedge cutting and maintenance.
- Lawn maintenance.
- Tree planting and maintenance.
- Spraying weeds on pathways and where needed.
- Planting new hedges and gapping up.
- General Estate help.
- This list is not exhaustive.
Skills
- Attention to detail and a high standard of finish.
- A good knowledge of the spectrum of seasonal tasks required in a formal garden with previous experience of working in a private garden setting.
- Able to take direction when required and be happy supporting and working alongside the head gardeners.
- Competency with a range of garden equipment.
- Being able to work to deadlines.
- PA1/PA6 sprayer certificate, tractor driving and chainsaw certificate would be advantageous.
- Fluency in English for effective communication within the team.
