Our client manufactures high-quality kitchen and bedroom doors. They are looking for a reliable, hardworking General Operative to support production across the factory while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
We're recruiting General Operatives to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Cookstown. This is a fantastic opportunity for motivated individuals who enjoy hands-on work and want to build a long-term career within a supportive production environment.
Location: Cookstown
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent
Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 6:30am to 5:15pm
Pay: £12.71 per hour, increasing to £12.91 per hour after successfully completing the 6-month probation period.

Main Duties
-
Support operations across multiple production departments.

Assist with the manufacture, assembly and preparation of finished products.

Operate woodworking and manufacturing machinery safely (full training provided).

Prepare materials and assist skilled operatives to meet production targets.

Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.

Carry out manual handling, lifting, moving and stacking of materials.

Follow quality procedures and standard operating processes.

Work as part of the production team to achieve daily and weekly targets.

Report any hazards and comply with all health and safety procedures.
Requirements
-
Previous experience in a manufacturing or operative role is desirable but not essential.

Physically fit and able to undertake manual handling.

Good organisational skills and attention to detail.

Reliable with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Forklift licence is advantageous but not essential.

Basic spoken and written English.
