Eden Mobility are looking to recruit an experienced Stairlift Assembly & Installation Technician to support our growing Stairlift division, based from our Darley Dale office.
This is a varied, hands-on role covering the preparation, assembly, installation and removal of stairlifts. You will play an important part in ensuring installations run smoothly, equipment is prepared to a high standard, and customers receive a professional service from start to finish.
You will be responsible for preparing both new and reconditioned stairlifts at our Darley Dale facility, as well as travelling to customers' homes to carry out installations and removals when required.
Previous stairlift experience is essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and prepare new and reconditioned stairlifts ready for installation
- Carry out stairlift installations in customers' homes to a high and safe standard
- Remove existing stairlifts from customers' properties where required
- Fully check and test stairlifts prior to installation or engineer collection
- Ensure equipment is correctly configured for each individual installation
- Diagnose and resolve straightforward installation or equipment issues
- Work closely with the booking and operations teams to confirm daily and upcoming installation requirements
- Accurately label, organise and manage stairlift rails, components and associated equipment
- Maintain a professional, polite and respectful manner when working in customers' homes
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop and warehouse environment
- Use hand and power tools safely and competently
- Support stock control and general workshop duties where required
- Complete relevant installation and job documentation accurately
- Work overtime when reasonably required to meet business demand
Requirements
- Previous stairlift installation and/or engineering experience is essential
- Experience working with stairlift equipment and components
- Competent and safe use of hand and power tools
- Good mechanical and practical aptitude
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship
- Ability to diagnose and resolve practical issues on site
- Professional and courteous manner when dealing with customers
- Physically capable of lifting and handling stairlift equipment
- Reliable, punctual and flexible with working hours
- Ability to work independently while also working effectively as part of a wider team
- Willingness to travel to customer properties to complete installations and removals
- Ability to work one Saturday on and one Saturday off
- Full UK driving licence
The Ideal Candidate
You will already have experience within the stairlift industry and be comfortable preparing, installing and removing stairlifts.
You will be practical, organised and reliable, with a strong focus on completing work safely and to a high standard. As you will regularly be working in customers' homes, excellent customer service and communication skills are equally important.

Pay: £33,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
