As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a Delivery Driver to join our team at our Head Office in Bromborough.
About the Role
This is primarily a driving role, responsible for delivering goods to customers across the region while providing an excellent standard of customer service. In addition to driving duties, you will support warehouse operations during quieter delivery periods and as required by the business.
This is a hands-on and physically demanding position involving regular manual handling, heavy lifting, and loading and unloading vehicles. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring customer orders are delivered safely, accurately, and on time, whilst supporting the efficient operation of the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
- Completing customer deliveries and supplier collections efficiently and professionally.
- Carrying out multi-drop deliveries across the region.
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely and securely.
- Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects promptly.
- Ensuring deliveries are completed accurately and accompanied by the correct documentation.
- Providing excellent customer service and representing Heatons professionally at all times.
- Supporting warehouse operations, including picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch.
- Checking and booking goods into stock accurately.
- Assisting with stock control and maintaining warehouse organisation.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment.
- Operating warehouse equipment, including FLT/Counterbalance trucks where authorised and trained.
What We're Looking For
- Full UK driving licence essential.
- Up to 3 penalty points accepted (SP30 endorsements only).
- No DR, DD, CD, BA, NE, TT, XX, or MS endorsements.
- Previous delivery driving experience preferred.
- FLT/Counterbalance experience advantageous but not essential.
- Good understanding of road safety regulations and safe driving practices.
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Friendly, professional, and customer-focused.
- Comfortable undertaking physical work, including regular manual handling and lifting.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday.
- 38.75 hours per week.
- Working hours and start/finish times to be agreed prior to commencement.
