Registered Manager – Children's Residential Home
Rising Stars Homes is seeking a dedicated, experienced, and passionate Registered Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our Children's Residential Home. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance while creating a safe, nurturing, and child-centred environment where children and young people can thrive.

Duties
- Lead the overall management and operation of the children's home in accordance with the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015, Quality Standards, and Ofsted requirements.
- Ensure children and young people receive high-quality, individualised care that promotes their welfare, development, education, and independence.
- Develop, implement, and regularly review care plans, risk assessments, and placement plans tailored to each child's needs.
- Provide effective leadership, supervision, and support to residential staff, promoting a positive and professional culture within the home.
- Ensure robust safeguarding practices are implemented and maintained at all times.
- Manage staff recruitment, induction, supervision, performance management, and ongoing professional development.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation relating to children, safeguarding, incidents, and regulatory requirements.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, social workers, local authorities, schools, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
- Oversee the administration of medication and ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements.
- Manage budgets, staffing rotas, occupancy levels, and resources effectively to ensure the smooth operation of the home.
- Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections, ensuring the service consistently meets regulatory expectations.
- Promote a therapeutic and nurturing environment that supports positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and stability for children and young people.
- Drive continuous improvement and maintain high standards of care and service delivery.
Qualifications & Experience
- Significant experience working within a Children's Residential Care setting.
- Previous management experience as a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, or senior leadership role within residential childcare.
- Thorough knowledge of the Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, safeguarding legislation, and Ofsted inspection framework.
- Proven leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and support staff teams.
- Experience in developing, implementing, and reviewing care plans and risk assessments.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, behaviour management, and trauma-informed care practices.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and maintain compliance within a regulated environment.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to achieve within required timescales).
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification).
- Full UK Driving Licence preferred.
- Enhanced DBS check required.

Pay: £50,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
