The role will be varied across the companies three divisions of skips/materials recovery facility/ recycled aggregates and biomass production.
Requirements:
- Sorting recyclables on a material picking station.
- Baling plastic and cardboard.
- General yard duties.
- Working in a team environment to achieve shift goals.
- Flexible for occasional Saturday/weekend work.
- Undertake any training required to carry out the duties of the post.
- Encourage recycling materials within your area of work.
- Ensure the correct segregation of all the waste streams.
- Attention to detail and a positive and ‘can-do’ attitude is a must.
- A good level of Health & Safety knowledge and experience.
- Ensuring that the standard of the yard and materials recovery facility is maintained and kept clean and tidy.
- Adhering to all Health and Safety compliance policies and procedures in place.
- Ensuring our business complies fully with its legal duties in respect of the health, safety and welfare of its employees and of other people who may be affected by your actions or omissions.
- Ability to take direction.
- Any other reasonable request by a supervisor / manager to assist with yard and facility activities.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
