A3 Fabrications Ltd is a growing structural steel fabrication company based in the outskirts of Mansfield. We specialise in the manufacture of structural steelwork, platforms, staircases, handrails, portal frame components, hoppers, chutes and bespoke fabrication projects for commercial and industrial clients.
Following our recent achievement of BS EN 1090 EXC2 certification, we are looking to recruit an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join our team and help support our continued growth.

The Role
The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of fabrication and welding within our workshop, working from engineering drawings to produce high-quality fabricated steelwork.
Duties will include:
- Reading and interpreting fabrication drawings.
- Measuring, marking out and assembling fabricated steelwork.
- MIG welding structural steel components.
- Working with plate, box section, channels, beams and other structural sections.
- Using workshop machinery and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Carrying out self-inspection of completed work.
- Working in accordance with our EN 1090 Factory Production Control system.
- Assisting with loading, dispatch and general workshop duties when required.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Fabricator/Welder.
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings without supervision.
- Competent in MAG (MIG) welding processes.
- Experience fabricating structural steelwork.
- High attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a small team.
Welding Qualification Requirement
Applicants must be capable of achieving and maintaining welding qualifications to BS EN ISO 9606-1 standards.
Previous welding qualifications are desirable but not essential. Practical weld tests will form part of the interview process.
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience working within an EN 1090 environment.
- Overhead crane experience.
- Experience with staircases, platforms, handrails or portal frame steelwork.
