About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and proactive Practice Manager to join our team and provide hands-on leadership and operational support across Tweed Dental Clinic and The Dental Care Clinic, Westerhope, Newcastle upon Tyne.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced dental professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care, developing teams, and ensuring both practices continue to operate to the highest standards of clinical governance, compliance, and service excellence.
This is a practice-based, in-person cross-site role, requiring regular presence at both locations. The successful candidate will work closely with clinicians and dental teams to provide visible leadership, support day-to-day operations, and drive continuous improvement across both practices.
The Role
This is a part-time Cross-Site Practice Manager position with responsibility for supporting the effective management and smooth running of both Tweed Dental Clinic and The Dental Care Clinic, Westerhope, Newcastle upon Tyne.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively across both sites to ensure:
- Outstanding patient care and experience.
- Effective leadership and support for all team members.
- Strong clinical governance and regulatory compliance.
- Consistent standards, processes, and ways of working across both practices.
Flexibility to work across both locations is essential to meet the operational needs of the practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide visible leadership and management support across both dental practices.
- Oversee the day-to-day operational running of the practices.
- Support, motivate, and develop dental teams to deliver excellent patient care.
- Build strong working relationships with dentists, hygienists, nurses, reception teams, and support staff.
- Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, GDC Standards, HTM 01-05, GDPR, safeguarding requirements, and relevant legislation.
- Maintain high standards of clinical governance, infection prevention and control, health and safety, and risk management.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, staff training, appraisals, and ongoing development.
- Monitor and improve practice performance, patient experience, and operational efficiency.
- Support the management of patient feedback and complaints in line with practice procedures.
- Maintain accurate compliance documentation, audits, policies, and action plans.
- Work with the practice owners to implement improvements and support future growth.
- Liaise with suppliers, laboratories, and external organisations where required.
About You
We are looking for someone who is organised, approachable, and passionate about leading dental teams.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Dental Practice Manager, Deputy Practice Manager, or Senior Dental Administrator.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- A good understanding of dental practice compliance and governance.
- Knowledge of CQC requirements and GDC Standards.
- Experience managing teams and supporting staff development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
- A proactive approach and commitment to continuous improvement.
- The confidence to work independently while collaborating across two practice locations.
