Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Laminate Flooring Installer to join our construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing high-quality laminate flooring in residential and commercial spaces, ensuring precise craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities
- Prepare subfloor surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and assessing for proper installation
- Measure and cut laminate flooring materials accurately using hand tools and power tools
- Install laminate flooring planks according to schematics, manufacturer instructions, and project specifications
- Use carpentry skills to create precise cuts around obstacles such as doorways and vents
- Apply construction painting techniques when necessary for finishing touches or transitions
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently throughout the installation process
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met while maintaining quality standards
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance, ensuring seamless fit and finish
- Maintain a clean work environment by removing debris and organizing tools after each project
Experience
- Proven experience in construction or carpentry work, with a focus on flooring installation preferred
- Skilled in using hand tools such as saws, hammers, chisels, and measuring devices
- Familiarity with schematics, blueprints, or technical drawings related to flooring projects
- Knowledge of construction painting techniques is advantageous but not mandatory
- Experience operating power tools safely in a construction setting is essential
- Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and schematics accurately
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
