Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills.
- Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues such as leaks, blockages, or corrosion, then develop effective repair strategies.
- Fitting and tiling of new bathrooms and kitchen plumbing
Skills
- Proficiency in welding techniques for pipe fitting and repairs.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools such as wrenches, pipe cutters, pliers, and screwdrivers.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems including water supply, drainage, venting, and fixture installation.
- Experience with power tools necessary for cutting, grinding, or drilling during installations or repairs.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with basic math skills for precise measurements and calculations.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large pipes or equipment.
- Familiarity with carpentry techniques for framing or supporting plumbing fixtures.
- Capable of assembling complex piping systems efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
