The Opportunity
Here at Halmer Group, we are currently recruiting for an Assembly Operative to join our busy client based in West Molesey.
This is a full-time, ongoing temporary position offering £12.71 per hour plus holiday pay (£14.24 per hour total), with weekly pay.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for long-term temporary work within a busy manufacturing environment. Full training is provided, making this role ideal for candidates with previous assembly, production or warehouse experience who enjoy practical, hands-on work and want to develop their skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble small and large appliances using written instructions
- Follow diagrams and technical drawings to complete assembly tasks
- Collect parts, components and work orders from around the warehouse
- Carry out basic metalwork to manufacture filters
- Use rivet guns and a variety of hand tools
- Tighten bolts and screws using handheld equipment
- Move completed products safely around the warehouse
- Load finished appliances onto delivery vehicles
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
Requirements
- Good understanding of written and spoken English
- Previous assembly, production or warehouse experience
- Steel toe-capped safety boots
- Able to start work immediately
- Comfortable with manual handling and occasional heavy lifting
- Happy working day shifts
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
