Domestic Cleaner — flexible hours, £14/hr (Havering & East London)
Kechkay Cleaning is a local residential cleaning company based in Dagenham. We’re hiring reliable domestic cleaners to join our team across Havering, East London and South Essex (RM, IG and selected E postcodes).
This is a zero-hours worker role on PAYE — you are on our payroll with payslips, not self-employed. You choose the jobs that fit your week through our cleaner app. There is no minimum hours guaranteed and no obligation to accept every job offered.
What you’ll do
- Clean customers’ homes to a high standard (regular cleans, deep cleans and one-offs)
- Travel to jobs in your local area
- Use your own cleaning equipment and products (or, for some local weekly roles, products already at the client’s home)
- Clock in and out via the Kechkay cleaner portal
- Maintain a professional, punctual and trustworthy approach in customers’ homes

What we need
- Right to work in the UK (verified before your first paid job)
- DBS check — valid certificate, or willing to obtain one (we can guide you; typically around £20)
- Residential cleaning experience preferred (1+ years ideal)
- Own cleaning kit (hoover, mop, cloths, sprays, gloves) and car is the fastest route to regular work
- We also consider experienced cleaners who use products at the client’s home for local weekly jobs
- Reliable, honest and comfortable working in customers’ homes
- Smartphone for the cleaner app
Service area Residential homes only we cover RM, IG and selected East London postcodes (e.g. Rainham, Romford, Barking, Ilford, Hornchurch). We do not send cleaners to offices or commercial sites.
Cleaners are expected to provide and maintain their own cleaning products and equipment suitable for domestic cleaning assignments
