- Friday: 3:00pm – 11:00pm
- Saturday: 6:30am – 3:00pm
- Saturday: 3:00pm – 11:00pm

Boomerang Healthcare is recruiting Care Assistants to support people in their own homes across Birtley and Gateshead. We welcome both walkers and drivers, and no previous care experience is required.
If you're caring, reliable, and passionate about helping others, we'll provide all the training and support you need to build a rewarding career in care.
What You'll Be Doing
Every visit helps someone remain independent, safe, and comfortable in their own home.
Your role may include:
- Supporting with personal care, washing, and dressing
- Assisting with meals and nutrition
- Providing medication prompts and support
- Encouraging independence and confidence
- Offering companionship and emotional reassurance
- Helping people feel safe, valued, and connected
Every visit matters, and every interaction can make a real difference.
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for people who are:
- Kind, caring, and compassionate
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Good communicators
- Eager to learn and develop new skills
- Able to work the shifts listed above
Walkers and drivers are both welcome to apply. Drivers are beneficial but not essential.
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, including retail, hospitality, customer service, education, and those completely new to care.
