We are seeking an experienced LGV Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnostics, repairs, general maintenance of company vehicles, mainly LGV and attending breakdowns on-site when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out diagnostics and fault finding on LGVs
- Perform repairs, servicing, and routine maintenance on company vehicles
- Attend vehicle breakdowns on-site and complete emergency repairs
- Conduct preventative maintenance to minimise vehicle downtime
- Ensure all vehicles are maintained to roadworthy and safety standards
- Complete maintenance records and job documentation accurately
- Work independently in both workshop and mobile environments
Requirements
- Proven experience working on LGVs is essential
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and respond to breakdown call-outs
- Good understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures and safety standards
- Working on a shift pattern 08:00 until 18:00
- Full UK driving licence required
Desirable
- Relevant mechanical qualifications or certifications
- Experience with roadside or mobile breakdown repairs
- HGV licence advantageous but not essential
