About the role
We're looking for a friendly, reliable Barista to join our coffee house team. Your two jobs are simple: make great coffee, and look after our customers.
You'll be on the machine through the day, serving a mix of regulars and new faces, and keeping the shop running smoothly alongside the rest of the team. We're a small independent, not a chain, so you'll get to know customers by name and have a real say in how things are done.
We can offer part-time or full-time hours, so tell us what suits you. Because we're a daytime business, this is a Monday to Friday role - no evenings, no weekends.
What you'll be doing
- Making coffee to a consistently high standard - espresso, milk drinks, the lot
- Serving customers at the counter and on the floor, quickly and with a smile
- Taking orders, handling payments and keeping the queue moving
- Keeping the coffee bar, seating area and equipment clean and well stocked
- Following food safety and hygiene standards
- Helping out the wider team wherever it's needed
What we're looking for
- A warm, friendly manner with customers - this matters more to us than anything
- Barista experience is great, but we'll happily train the right person
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to stay calm and cheerful when it's busy
- A genuine interest in coffee and doing it properly
What we offer
- 12.71 to 13.50 per hour, depending on experience
- Part-time or full-time hours to suit you
- Monday to Friday - every weekend off
- Free drinks and food on shift, plus staff discount
- Paid holiday and company pension
- Full barista training and the chance to develop with us
If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you. Apply with your CV and we'll be in touch.
Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
Benefits:
- Company pension
- Discounted or free food
- Employee discount
