Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Senior Sous Chef to assist our Head Chef in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our Wedding and Event Business. This pivotal role involves assisting in overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, from menu creation and food preparation to team management and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. The ideal candidate will bring a vibrant energy to the kitchen, inspire creativity among staff, and uphold our commitment to excellence in fine dining and Event catering.
You will play a key role in shaping our culinary reputation and delighting our guests with innovative dishes and impeccable service.
Responsibilities
- Help Develop, plan, and update Wedding & Event menus that showcase culinary creativity while meeting dietary requirements and customer preferences.
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards, presentation expectations, and food safety regulations.
- Manage inventory control and food handling procedures to minimize waste, optimize stock levels, and maintain cost efficiency.
- Coordinate with catering and banquet departments to deliver seamless service for events of varying sizes, ensuring timely preparation and delivery.
- Collaborate with management on menu planning for Weddings, seasonal offerings, or promotional events to keep offerings fresh and exciting.
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety of the kitchen environment at all times.
- Stay current with industry trends such as fine dining innovations, catering techniques, and new culinary equipment or methods.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a high-volume restaurant or catering environment; banquet experience is highly desirable.
- Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience managing diverse teams in fast-paced settings.
- Knowledge of food industry standards including dietary department practices, food safety regulations (such as HACCP), inventory management, and food handling procedures.
- Experience in fine dining establishments or upscale hospitality environments is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory control effectively while maintaining high-quality service standards.
- Familiarity with menu planning for various events including catering services; shift management expertise is essential.
- Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in food production and presentation.

Pay: From £35,000.00 per year
