Moore Scarrott Chartered Accountants are a leading accountancy practice in the southwest of England, established in 2001.
Having experienced year on year growth, we are currently seeking an enthusiastic individual to be our new Company Secretarial and General Compliance Administrator within our veterinary accounts team based in our Taunton office on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is a new role within the team which will grow and evolve over time, allowing the suitable individual to develop new skills and take on extra responsibility.
Reporting to the Managers of the veterinary team, and under their supervision, you will be responsible for:
- The administrative process of assisting clients with their company secretarial, legal and regulatory compliance.
- Maintaining the administration of our internal computerised systems holding all client data and records.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
We envisage the role to have two main sectors:
1. Company secretarial duties
Administering our clients Companies House requirements including:
- Submission of confirmation statements
- Submission of financial statements
- Directors appointments, resignations, and recording of any other changes
- Registered office changes
- Changes to accounting references and company names
- Shareholder changes
- Incorporations
- Dividend documentation
- All other aspects of maintaining company records
2. Internal system administration
- Prepare year end letters
- Update addresses, telephone numbers and email addresses
- Ad hoc requests and general support to the accounts team
Experience of working in an accountancy practice or similar legal setting would be desirable, however full training will be provided and experience is not essential.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of 5 GCSE’s
- A keen eye for detail
- An interest in the financial and accountancy sector
- A high standard of ethics, both professional and personal
- Keen to work in an individual performance driven business (and be awarded accordingly)
- Able to work well in a successful and busy team
- Good organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
- A desire to learn and develop
- General IT proficiency
