Mclaren Farms seek a highly skilled Agricultural Mechanic to join their progressive farming business due to retirement.
A mixed farming business, specialising in potatoes and vegetable production, we offer a great opportunity for an ambitious mechanic.
The job would offer real variety with a range of vehicles and machinery under your care. An excellent workshop would be your base with travel to other yards/ field breakdowns when required.
Key Duties
Fault finding and repairing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues in agricultural machinery and equipment
Perform routine maintenance, service, lubrication and inspection
Replace or repair defective parts
Check and service all machinery at correct intervals
Fabricating parts as needed
Keeping records of inspections and work performed
Plan and prioritise work to ensure correct machinery is ready when required
Person Specification
Experience working in the agricultural sector with a range of agricultural machinery
Attention to detail for recording and reporting
Good communication skills
Ability to work digitally
Ability to work autonomously
A full UK driving licence
