Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Out of School Club Practitioner to provide high-quality care and support to children outside of school hours. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment that promotes children's development and well-being. Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging activities that support children’s social, emotional, and developmental needs
- Supervise children during after-school hours, ensuring their safety at all times
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment where children feel valued and supported
- Maintain clear communication with parents, carers, and colleagues regarding children's progress and needs
- Organise daily routines, including snack times, homework support, and outdoor play
- Lead by example in demonstrating management and leadership skills to junior staff or volunteers
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and health & safety regulations at all times
- Maintain accurate records of children's attendance and behaviour
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in childcare settings, nurseries, or early childhood education environments
- Strong management and leadership abilities to oversee activities and guide team members effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Good organisational skills to manage daily routines efficiently
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection policies
- Passionate about supporting children's development through creative and educational activities

Successful candidates will be subject to PVG checks, 3 references and either be registered or prepare to be registered with the SSSC
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
