The Role
Responsible for delivering large or bulky items—such as furniture, white goods, or other home goods—to customers. Working as part of a team, you’ll ensure a timely and professional delivery while upholding high customer service standards.
Main Responsibilities
· Safely drive a 3.5-tonne (or other specified) vehicle to deliver goods to customers’ homes or businesses on behalf of clients.
· Work with a second crew member to load, transport, and unload items, including navigating stairs or challenging access points.
· Assist in conducting pre-delivery checks
· Provide a professional and friendly service at all times, ensuring customer satisfaction.
· Accurately complete delivery documentation and use company equipment/ devices as required.
· Maintain the cleanliness and basic maintenance of the delivery vehicle.
· Adhere to all road safety and driving regulations.
Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours
· Full UK Driving Licence with a clean driving record.
· Previous experience in multi-drop delivery, home delivery, or working with large items is preferred.
· Good physical fitness – able to lift heavy items safely.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· A flexible approach to working hours, including weekends or bank holidays.
· Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.
·Experience with home delivery, multi-drop, or working in a driver’s mate/crew role
