Print Room & Fulfilment Assistant:
House of Blanks
Worksop
£27,560 per year (£13.25 per hour)
Permanent, full-time
Monday to Friday, 8.30am–4.30pm
About Us:
House of Blanks is a family-run printing, manufacturing and fulfilment business based at our approximately 12,000-square-foot HQ in Worksop.
The business started from a garage five years ago. Five years later, we’ve dispatched almost 200,000 orders and grown into a large production operation supplying crafters, creators, personalisation businesses and other small businesses across the UK.
There’s a lot happening under one roof at HQ. We have a large warehouse filled with clothing, craft and personalisation blanks alongside several specialist production departments. Our equipment includes state-of-the-art DTF and UV-DTF printers, large-format printers, digital presses, 3D printers, laser-cutting and acrylic machinery, plus digital cutting and finishing equipment.
We produce everything from clothing transfers, stickers and acrylic products to business stationery, packaging, cards, certificates and personalised products. We’re constantly developing new products, investing in machinery and bringing more production in-house.
Although this position will mainly involve picking prints in our print room, you’ll be joining a much wider manufacturing and fulfilment business. As the company continues to develop, there may be opportunities to learn about other departments and take on different responsibilities.
We’re still family-run and have a friendly, supportive team, but we’re also a busy and established business with significant in-house production capabilities.
The role:
The role will mainly be based in our print room, picking prints for customer orders and helping to keep everything organised and moving.
We’ve dispatched almost 200,000 orders to date, so we’re an incredibly busy business with plenty happening every day. We’d love somebody who enjoys keeping busy, can work at a busy pace and stay organised when there are lots of orders going through.
Although the role is primarily based in the print room, we’re very much a team and everybody helps each other when needed. Occasionally, you might spend a few hours helping Jake and the team in the warehouse or lend a hand in another area of HQ during particularly busy periods.
What you’ll be doing:
- Picking the correct prints for customer orders
- Checking order details and quantities
- Keeping prints and working areas organised
- Helping orders move smoothly through production and fulfilment
- Supporting the warehouse or other departments when needed
- Generally being an extra pair of hands around HQ
Who we’re looking for:
Experience in a similar role would be useful, but it isn’t essential as full training will be given. Your attitude, your ability to do the job well and how well you fit into the team are much more important to us.
We’d love somebody who is:
- Reliable with good timekeeping
- Organised with a good eye for detail
- Comfortable working in a busy environment
- Friendly and easy to get along with
- Happy working independently and as part of a team
- Flexible and willing to help where needed
- Creative and keen to learn new things
This is a practical, hands-on role rather than a desk job, so you’ll spend a good part of the day on your feet.
What it’s actually like working here:
House of Blanks is a family-run business and we’re really proud of the lovely team we’ve built.
We work hard and every day is a busy days but we’re not an overly formal workplace. We’re understanding, compassionate and very aware that our staff are actual human beings.
We want people to feel comfortable, enjoy coming to work and be able to have a laugh while still getting the job done to a high standard. There’s always somebody around to help and you won’t be expected to walk in on your first day already knowing everything.
We also have Frank, our little office dog, supervising proceedings and Roo, one of our director Millie’s baby boy, who spends most days at HQ collecting cuddles from the team.
As a family business, there’s also the occasional bit of completely harmless father-and-daughter bickering between Millie and her dad. They’ll argue over something ridiculous and then carry on five minutes later as though absolutely nothing happened!
What we offer:
- Salary of £27,560 per year (£13.25 per hour)
- Permanent, full-time employment
- Monday-to-Friday working hours with no weekends
- Paid annual leave
- Workplace pension for eligible employees
- Optional overtime during busier periods
- Full training and ongoing support
- The opportunity to learn new skills and develop as the business grows
- A friendly and supportive place to work
