Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Builders Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting skilled tradespeople in various building projects, ensuring smooth operations on-site. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in construction and a willingness to learn new skills, contributing to the successful completion of diverse building tasks. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience across multiple trades within the construction industry.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with general site clearance and preparation of work areas
- Handling and transporting materials using hand tools and power tools
- Supporting carpentry, roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical, and welding tasks as directed
- Assisting with the installation of fixtures and fittings, including construction painting and fabrication work
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations
- Operating basic equipment and tools required for construction activities
- Supporting the team with specialised tasks such as roofing, masonry, or electrical work when necessary
- Ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to high standards of quality
Requirements
- Previous experience or training in construction-related trades such as carpentry, roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, or welding is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn is key
- Knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in construction environments
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Good physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work well within a team
- Valid UK driving licence is desirable but not mandatory
- A proactive attitude with a commitment to health and safety standards
Pay: £12.00-£20.00 per hour
