Cromer House Dental Practice is excited to welcome a new front of house team member to our fantastic Reception team ! We are looking for a vibrant, friendly and experienced Dental Receptionist to enhance our established dental practice in Huyton, Liverpool. Providing an excellent patient experience and building strong relationships with our patients is at the heart of everything we do !.
This is a great opportunity for a confident and enthusiastic individual who has experience running a dental reception. Experience as a Treatment Coordinator (TCO) would be a significant advantage. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will help ensure the smooth and efficient running of reception and support an excellent patient journey. You will manage clinicians’ diaries to maximise efficiency, communicate professionally with patients and colleagues, and follow practice protocols and company policies at all times.
Key responsibilities
- Greeting and welcoming patients and visitors
- Delivering excellent customer service throughout the patient journey
- Scheduling, confirming and rearranging appointments
- Managing clinicians’ diaries efficiently
- Answering telephone calls and transferring them when appropriate
- Responding to emails and managing correspondence
- Supporting the patient recall process
- Building professional relationships with patients and team members
- Resolving day-to-day reception queries and problems
- Following practice policies, procedures and CQC requirements
- Supporting the continued development of the team and practice
- Completing requests from the Director, Group Managers and Practice Managers
About you
The successful candidate will:
- Have previous dental reception experience — this is essential
- Be professional, confident, friendly and approachable
- Have excellent front-of-house and customer service skills
- Be reliable, punctual and well organised
- Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues
- Work well as part of a busy and vibrant team
- Use initiative and take a proactive approach to work
- Be able to solve day-to-day problems calmly and efficiently
- Have a positive attitude and a desire to support the practice’s future goals
- Be committed to continued learning and team development
- Have a good understanding of CQC requirements and practice policies
- Have a good level of IT proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel
Experience using Dentally software is desirable but not essential.Experience as a Treatment Coordinator would be a significant advantage.
Working hours
- Monday to Thursday: 8:45 am–6:00 pm
- Friday: 7:45 am–3:00 pm
