Kennedys is seeking a commercially focused and proactive Pricing Manager to support partners within the UK & EMEA, while working closely with colleagues across the firm's international network. This role is central to improving profitability, strengthening pricing discipline and ensuring that fee arrangements are commercially effective, competitive and aligned to client and market expectations.
The successful candidate will combine strong pricing skills with excellent relationship management, acting as a trusted advisor to Partners, Divisional and Business Services leaders across the firm.

The team plays a key role in enabling sustainable growth, improving performance and maintaining the high standard of service provided to the firm's internal and external clients.
Our Finance function includes Financial Reporting, Tax, Treasury, Business Intelligence, Business Partnering and Analytics, Pricing, Procurement, Finance Systems and Financial Operations, working in partnership with practice and business services leaders across the firm's international network.
Kennedys operates across the UK, EMEA, LATAM, APAC and the US, and this role will play a key part in delivering consistent, high-quality financial operations across the firm's international office network.
Key responsibilities
Act as a business partner to Partners, Business Development and the wider Finance team, providing commercial and pricing advice on client proposals, panel submissions and matter-level engagements.
Lead the development, review, and negotiation of pricing proposals, including rate structures, alternative fee arrangements (AFAs), fixed fees, success fees, and volume-based discounts.
Advise on matter scoping, leverage, resourcing mix, utilisation assumptions and write-offs, ensuring alignment between client expectations, financial targets and profitability.
Support client conversations by helping to shape the pricing strategy and provide constructive challenge to ensure client proposals are commercially robust.
Work closely with the wider finance team to ensure pricing decisions are aligned to divisional and regional strategy, client profitability objectives and matter performance.
Monitor client and matter performance against agreed budgets, identifying at-risk matters and feeding outcomes into future pricing models.
Support matter and client reviews, capturing pricing lessons learned and applying insights to future pricing decisions.
Contribute to the rate setting processes, client rate negotiations, and the annual review of standard rate cards.
Collaborate with the BD team on proposals and pitches, providing pricing strategy and financial input.
Support the onboarding of new clients with rate negotiations, pricing templates, and commercial terms.
Support and share knowledge with junior members of the Pricing team, reviewing work where appropriate and contributing to professional development.
Play a key role in the continuous improvement of pricing tools, modelling templates, and processes.
Work with Finance Operations and Finance Systems to ensure accurate implementation of pricing agreements and monitor compliance.
Provide guidance to divisions on pricing best practices, matter scoping, and commercial risks.
Understand client profitability and how pricing interacts with other profitability levers
Proactive approach to addressing pricing issues for all clients
Required experience
Experience in pricing, revenue management or commercial strategy, ideally within an international law firm, insurance-focused professional services business or other complex global partnership environment.
Proven track record of improving profitability, pricing discipline and matter economics through data-led commercial decision-making.
Strong analytical, modelling, and commercial evaluation capabilities.
Experience with pricing and financial systems, ERP platforms and business intelligence tools, ideally within a legal, professional services or insurance-related environment.
Ability to translate data into clear, commercially relevant insight that supports partner, client and leadership decision-making.
Strong communicator, able to influence partners and cross-functional teams across the firm's international network.
Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA preferred.
