Floor Assistant – Full-Time
Total Asia Food Limited is looking for a friendly, reliable and hardworking Floor Assistant to join our team in Newport.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with customers, is comfortable working in a busy retail and warehouse environment, and can work flexibly as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the cash register and process customer payments accurately.
- Provide friendly and helpful customer service.
- Re-shelve and organise products to maintain a clean and well-presented store.
- Assist with stock replenishment and general stock duties.
- Help receive, move and organise deliveries when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness throughout the retail and warehouse areas.
- Follow company procedures relating to health, safety and security.
- Assist colleagues with general day-to-day store duties.
- Provide a welcoming and positive experience for customers.
About You
The successful candidate will be:
- Hardworking, reliable and punctual.
- Friendly and approachable with good customer-service skills.
- Flexible and willing to work a variety of shifts.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Able to work in a fast-paced retail and warehouse environment.
- Organised and able to carry out tasks efficiently.
- Previous retail or customer-service experience is preferred but not essential.
- Speaking an additional Asian language is desirable but not essential.
Working Hours
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Newport – In person
Pay: £12.71 per hour
Full flexibility from Monday to Sunday is required, including availability to work weekends and different shifts according to the business rota.
