Summary
The governors of Goosnargh Oliversons Church of England Primary School are looking to appoint a highly motivated, reliable and enthusiastic Learning Assistant (TA2) to support across all age groups. The appointment is being offered full time and may include some breakfast and after school hours on a rota basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in our warm and welcoming school which has a caring, friendly environment. Here, we learn with joy, love and laughter, everyone is valued and staff and children alike show respect and thoughtfulness to one another. Our school has a friendly atmosphere and a rural setting. The appointment will suit someone who enjoys working as part of a team and has high expectations of behaviour and achievement from all children.
Interviews are scheduled for Thursday 16th July.
The successful candidate will:
- be supportive of our school's Church ethos;
- be able to develop positive relationships with staff and pupils;
- have high expectations of pupil achievements and behaviour;
- be able to work independently and as part of a team and show suitable initiative.
The school governors take the issue of safeguarding the pupils of the school seriously and to this end the successful candidate will be required to obtain an enhanced clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service. The successful candidate will also be required to provide documentary proof of identity, qualifications and proof of their right to work in the UK.
This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro rata basis.

Essential Qualifications
- Minimum 5 GCSEs including English and Maths Grade A - C or Grade 4 and above (after 2017)
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
Desirable Qualifications
- First Aid Certificate
- Flexible attitude to work
- Good written and oral communication skills
Essential Experience
- An understanding of The National Curriculum
- Experience working in EYFS, KS1 or KS 2
Desirable Experience
- Experience working with children who have Special Educational Needs
- Experience of working with children with SEMH
