Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our new team. Working days will be Wednesday-Sunday. Shifts to end no later than 4pm. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management, with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role offers an opportunity to showcase leadership skills, oversee food production, and ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained across all service areas. The menu will consist of all day breakfast items, lunch products and daily specials.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations
- Manage food production processes, ensuring timely delivery of meals during service hours
- Oversee food safety protocols, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in line with regulations
- Lead team management efforts, including training new staff and fostering a positive working environment
- Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock control, and place orders for ingredients as needed
- Innovate menu offerings by developing new recipes and improving existing dishes
- Ensure all food served meets quality standards and customer expectations
Requirements
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within hospitality or restaurant settings
- Strong culinary skills with a comprehensive understanding of food preparation and cooking techniques
- Supervising experience, demonstrating leadership capabilities in managing kitchen teams
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
- Experience in food production, restaurant operations, and serving customers is highly desirable
- A passion for culinary excellence and delivering outstanding customer service
