Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Quality Controller to join our night-shift salmon processing team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of products throughout the processing. This role is essential in maintaining food safety standards, reducing customer complaints, completing quality documentation, and identifying and reporting quality issues to the Department Manager.
This is a hands on role within a fast paced food manufacturing environment and would suit someone who is passionate about quality and committed to maintaining high standards.
Duties
- Complete all quality system documentation to the required standard.
- Monitor product quality and food safety throughout the production process.
- Ensure products consistently meet company and customer specifications.
- Maintain all required quality records and documentation.
- Identify, investigate, and report quality concerns to the Department Manager.
- Support initiatives aimed at reducing customer complaints and improving product quality.
- Ensure employees follow all food safety and workplace safety procedures.
- Complete environmental and product swabbing in accordance with the swabbing schedule.
- Promote and maintain health and safety standards at all times.
- Undertake any additional duties required to support the business.
Experience
- Previous quality control experience.
- Experience working within the food manufacturing or food processing industry.
- Good understanding of food safety requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Good organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced setting.
