Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain a clean and organised bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking drink orders and providing recommendations based on their preferences.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, utilising basic math skills for processing payments.
- Monitor customer behaviour to ensure responsible alcohol service, intervening when necessary to promote safety.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food items when applicable.
- Uphold high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the bar area.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred, showcasing knowledge of beverage preparation and service.
- Strong hospitality skills with the ability to create a welcoming environment for guests.
- Familiarity with food safety practices is essential to maintain health regulations.
- Excellent time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks during busy periods.
