Food Service Assistant - Part time.
This is a new business hoping to open begining of July. Stack & Slice at 158 Sandy Row, Belfast is recruiting a Food Service Assistant to join our friendly team, serving hot and cold food, drinks and baked goods alongside our cook.
About the role
time hours in line with our trading pattern (no late nights)day time 7am to 15pm, we are looking 2 part time staff for a shift of Monday to Wednesday and Thursday to Saturday. Working closely with the cook and owner to deliver great customer service and well-presented food.
Front-of-house role serving customers, food and drinks in a busy local takeout deli setting. What you'll do
Welcome and serve customers in a friendly, helpful manner, taking food and drink orders and answering basic questions about the menu.
Assist customers with selection of food and beverages and serve them, following portion control guidelines, Carry out basic food preparation and simple cooking as directed.
Set up and merchandise food displays to maximise sales and keep the counter and Handle cash/card payments accurately and complete any end-of-shift paperwork as required. Wash dishes, clean equipment and keep kitchen and service areas clean and safe. Follow all food hygiene, health and safety procedures, including completing any mandatory checks.

A strong commitment to customer service and helping people Friendly, polite manner with good communication skills and a smart, clean appearance.
Good personal hygiene and a positive, can-do attitude, even when it's busy, Able to work well as part of a small team and build good working relationships
Food hygiene certificate and previous café or kitchen experience are desirable but not essential for the right person, Basic numeracy and confidence handling money.
